The Shetland Flight Information Notification Scheme group email list is maintained by Shetland Flyer Aerial Media of 11 Ronald Street, Lerwick, Shetland, ZE1 0BQ (the Data Controller) as a free service to promote flight safety in Shetland. The group data is hosted in the EU on GDPR compliant encrypted servers by Blommers Software Company B.V. (the Data Processor). It is a closed opt-in system and by subscribing to the group you acknowledge that your name and email address will be held solely for the purpose of notifying all scheme subscribers of planned flights. Your personal data will never be shared to any third party outside the scheme by Shetland Flyer Aerial Media or Blommers Software Company B.V., however please be aware that all subscribers to the scheme will be able to see your name and email address and any other personal information you have chosen to provide.
Personal Data We Hold
As a minimum the group data holds your name and/or organisation name and email address. If you have chosen to supply other personal information such as address or telephone number this will also be held.
The Bases on Which We Process Information About You
Information We Process With Your Consent: by subscribing or joining this scheme you are providing your consent for us to process your data for the sole purpose of maintaining the Shetland Flight Information Notification Scheme;
Information Provided on the Understanding That It Will be Shared With a Third Party: by subscribing or joining this scheme you are providing your consent for us to share your data with third parties who are also subscribers or members of this scheme;
Information We Process Because We Have a Legal Obligation: we are subject to the law like everyone else. Sometimes, we must process your information in order to comply with a statutory obligation. For example, we may be required to give information to legal authorities if they so request or if they have the proper authorisation such as a search warrant or court order. If a dispute is not settled then we hope you will agree to attempt to resolve it by engaging in good faith with us in a process of mediation or arbitration.
